We participate in annual vision screenings with the South Bay Lions Club

Eighty percent of all visual impairments can be prevented or cured. The first step to prevention is awareness. The second is early detection through vision screening. Around the world, Lions partner with medical professionals and community leaders to screen young children, primary school students, and adults to identify those at risk.

Early identification leads to timely referral, professional treatment, and improved or restored sight. - Lions Clubs International

We are a drop off location for Lions in Sight

The mission of Lions In Sight is to promote the collection of used eyeglasses for recycling and use in developing nations worldwide and to provide no-cost primary eye care to the needy and low-income citizens in economically disadvantaged countries. This care is provided through clinic missions or established LIS permanent clinics. A licensed ophthalmologist or optometrist performs no-cost, comprehensive eye examinations. A coalition of Lions Clubs in the United States and abroad collect, neutralize/measure, and dispense the used eyeglasses at no cost to visually challenged needy people. We are dedicated to bringing basic eye care and eyeglasses to a world of people in need.

Bausch + Lomb ONE by ONE Recycling Program

We are now a participating location for ONE by ONE, a free recycling program for Biotrue ONEday contact lenses, blister packs, and lenses and packs from other Bausch & Lomb brands. Once received, the contact lenses and blister packs are separated by composition and cleaned. The metal layers of the blister packs are recycled separately, while the contact lenses and plastic blister pack components are melted into plastic that can be remolded to make recycled products.
